Correction Technique
November 29, 2006, 3:51 pmOk, that’s a good question. In most cases, “just” and “only” are the same. For example: There’s nobody else here, just me… There’s nobody else here, only me. See? It’s the same. Where it’s different is when you’re talking about time. You can say, I just saw him… that means, like, a minute ago I saw him. Right now, I saw him.

Another Day In Paradise
November 28, 2006, 3:12 pmNow, I’m not some jerk that thinks Japan is totally perfect and I wish I was Japanese. I’ll admit, Japan has its problems. You have your good days when you love everything and everybody and it’s an earthly paradise. Then, you have your bad days when everything drives you insane and you want to bury your foot in some Ziggy Stardust-looking high school kid’s face. But overall, I love it here, and these are some of the reasons why:

November 28, 2006, 11:34 amGreat, my friends are putting out BOOKS now. You know when all your friends seem to suddenly get married and it makes you feel like an aging loser? Same thing. Everybody’s putting out a book. Aaron’s got “Reserved For Emporers,” Flynn’s got “Open Naked Eye.” Fuck it, I’m gonna put out my book! Okay, what should I write about?

Leroy’s Revenge
November 27, 2006, 12:12 amSince Leroy cast the first stone and requested to be my friend, cluttering up my account with his lousy profile, and he couldn’t even bother to leave some kind of message, I thought I would write him and explain why I do not want to be his friend. I feel like this is kind of my responsibility, since these marketing guys don’t know there are people behind those profiles. So, in my previous post, I put what I wrote. A little harsh, maybe, but it needed to be said.

US Immigration Invades Narita
November 25, 2006, 3:45 amDon’t worry Japan. YOU ARE SAFE. Your friendly overlords the Americans will be posting a couple of their centurions at Narita Airport to keep an eye on who comes and goes. Crisscross reports here that sometime next year, the US Homeland Security Department will further force the American police state presence on Japan, by putting four US immigration officers at Narita Airport.
