The Bucketeers at Smokin’ Boogie in Shinjuku, Monday 8/27…

I always rave about them, and I’m not going to go on another tirade about how great they are again. The highlights (same as last time I guess) for me were… If You’ve Got The Money I’ve Got The Time, White Lightning (always a favorite), Silver Wings, and all the other Hank stuff…

AND, for an encore, they did I Saw The Light. It was just what I needed.

Morning People

The alarm on my wife’s phone is a stern woman’s voice demanding that she wake up. It goes “ohayo gozaimasu… ohayo gozaimasu… ohayo gozaimasu…” impatiently until she shuts it off.

Mine is some new age guitar shit. I tried to download the “U Can’t Touch This” ringtone, but it wouldn’t work on my phone for some reason.

After 30 years of being alive, and 25 of years of being coerced awake every morning, I can say with authority that mornings suck. They are terrible. No one should ever wake up in the morning, and no one should do anything before (more…)

summer camp was fun…

…and that’s all I’m gonna say about it. Yes, for three days some negligent parents left their kids in the care of me and two other horribly irresponsible people. All 14 lived through it, although there was plenty of blood, sweat and tears. There was also some laughter, the insane laughter of feral children. Instead of rehashing everything that happened, I will show you a picture that pretty much sums it all up…
