Sometimes Customers Should Just Be Smacked Hard

October 30, 2007, 5:44 am

It’s a very sad day today for my wife. Why? Because today, her two friends and allies at her workplace are leaving her for dead among the lost, soulless, mean, petty shits who come in there and harass her. I’m not talking about the other people she works with, I’m talking about that slobbering, mouthbreathing mass of subhuman goo - customers.

She works at an NTT showroom. What does that mean? I’m not really sure. NTT is a company that sells or rents or somehow makes money from internet service, phone service, and other little ghosts and things zipping through lines of laser fiber or something. But it’s a showroom, not a salesfloor. That (more…)

“Actually, I know a guy who was a terrorist, and…”

October 30, 2007, 1:36 am

Here is an amateur liar/ pig in the Japanese gov’t (Justice Minister Hatoyama) who tries to justify fingerprinting foreigners by saying that he’s a buddy… no, a “friend of a friend” to some terrorists, Al Qaeda actually, and he came into Japan real easily because they didn’t take his picture, fingerprint him, or otherwise harass him for being foreign. Then he denies it later. He’s like half-Joe McCarthy, half-Bush, all jackass. Here’s the story on Criss Cross, too. Get your tongue out of America’s asshole, will ya?

Nova’s Finished

October 26, 2007, 12:38 am

That’s it… on TV they said that Nova is officially bankrupt, Sahashi (president) has resigned, all schools will be temporarily (which probably means permanently) closed starting today. I guess teachers will get their money, but it sounds like the process is pretty long and involved. My guess is that a bunch will go home, and the rest will be roving the streets looking for jobs… and end up working for Interac. At least in Chiba anyway. The big language schools will actually be able to pick and choose teachers! It would be a rough time to look for jobs…

Tales Of Life In Suburban Chiba, Japan

October 25, 2007, 6:40 am

A man walks into a cell phone shop. He is Australian, Canadian, American or something similar. Something is wrong with his phone, he needs to change his service, he can speak a little Japanese (just now working his way through Minna No Nihongo) but probably not enough to understand the high-speed service industry dialect or understand techincal cell phone terms.

But it’s no matter. There is a woman there who lived in New Zealand for 3 months during high school and she speaks English pretty well. She sees the guy coming, looking around inside the store as he walks up to the door, and she runs into the backroom and quickly pretends to be busy. “Customer!” (more…)
