The Name Game

April 4, 2008, 10:03 am

This post is going to have some seriously valuable information for folks who might move to Japan. I should post this somewhere as a warning to people coming over here. The warning is this…

THEY WILL DESTROY YOUR NAME.

… Your name will get mangled by the Japanese phonetic system, but even more important …

YOU MUST ALSO DESTROY YOUR NAME. AND YOU MUST DESTROY IT EXACTLY THE SAME WAY EVERY TIME.

… And actually, this is much more important … (more…)

The United States Apologizes To Japan For Something

April 3, 2008, 2:14 pm

I’m proud of ya Japan. Just now on the ol’ TV, the US ambassador to Japan was sitting there looking pathetic and apologizing profusely, in a way that you don’t usually see United Statesians apologizing. Why was he apologizing? Was it for those atom bombs they dropped on two cities of civilians unnecessarily? No, not that… that was RIGHT goddamit.

He was apologizing because yet another US serviceman in Japan got loose from his cage and killed/raped/beat up somebody. In this case, it was a navy guy who stabbed a taxi driver to death with a kitchen knife and then ran away with his credit card sitting in the seat of the taxi. Who was it that said of Americans that they think weakly but feel strongly? Anyway, that definitely describes this guy.

You are half-Canadian! Half-Canadian, okay?

December 6, 2007, 6:04 am

The biggest irony of my life full of ironies is this: the doctor told us that our baby might be born on… the 4th of July. Rocket’s red glare. Whatsits bursting in air. Flag waving, shit-blowing-upping, barbecuing, being more pround than usual of being an american day. Okay, it would be fucking hilarious if my kid’s birthday is 4th of July. I plan to hide the fact that their half american from them. This may be tough, considering I can only fool them into thinking I’m native for a couple years at best… I’ll stock up on maple leaf stuff, try to get them interested in hockey, etc., but eventually those trips back home are going to do me in. At some point in their lives somebody’s going to tell them or they’re going to learn in school that Canada is not a mountainous desert … or they’re going to ask me what those flags with the stars and stripes they see everywhere mean. You can’t hide reality from your kids forever.

“Actually, I know a guy who was a terrorist, and…”

October 30, 2007, 1:36 am

Here is an amateur liar/ pig in the Japanese gov’t (Justice Minister Hatoyama) who tries to justify fingerprinting foreigners by saying that he’s a buddy… no, a “friend of a friend” to some terrorists, Al Qaeda actually, and he came into Japan real easily because they didn’t take his picture, fingerprint him, or otherwise harass him for being foreign. Then he denies it later. He’s like half-Joe McCarthy, half-Bush, all jackass. Here’s the story on Criss Cross, too. Get your tongue out of America’s asshole, will ya?
